The Accord edged out nine other competitors with Edmunds.com editors awarding the Accord high marks for interior material and build quality, along with ride comfort, interior space and drivetrain refinement. The testing involved a 23-point evaluation to determine the overall leaders in areas such as performance, features and value.

"The editors of Edmunds have done their homework and found the Accord to be the best of the best in its class," said Karl Brauer, editor-in-chief of Edmunds.com. "While other vehicles may do one or two things well, it's the Accord's ability to excel in so many areas that ultimately put it at the top of our ratings."

According to Edmunds.com, the Accord's "interior is attractive, roomy, high in quality, loaded with features and as ergonomically friendly as you're going to get and, out on the road, it handles capably and goes fast. And the Honda puts together all of these attributes for a price that undercuts comparably equipped cars."

In addition, the Accord was recently awarded "10Best" status by Car and Driver Magazine, resulting in the Accord winning 18 of the 22 years that the editors have been evaluating new vehicles. It also continues to hold the publication's record for the most "10Best" trophies in the history of Car and Driver's competition.
