The 2004 limited edition Monaro CV8-R coupe, previewed earlier this year at
the 2004 Melbourne International Motor Show, will go on sale on 31May.
Only 320 CV8-Rs will be built, offering an array of added value sports
features and exclusive Pulse Red paint finish.
Based on the Series III Monaro CV8, the 2004 limited edition Monaro CV8-R
offers a choice of manual or automatic transmission, matched to a 245kW 5.7
litre Gen III V8.
Externally, the Monaro CV8-R is distinguished by 18-inch, five-spoke machined
face alloy wheels with sports graphite ports, front and rear lamps with silver
vision globes, black bezels on rear lamps, black chrome exterior badging and a
CV8-R decklid badge. A Holden By Design electric sunroof is included as
standard.
Special interior treatments include centre fascia and instrument surrounds in
satin finish Pulse Red and black floormats with CV8-R logo in Pulse Red. The
unique instrument cluster, in white dial-plate, features daytime illumination.
The steering wheel, handbrake and transmission selectors are covered in
Anthracite leather (matching the sports seat and door trim) with perforated
leather inserts and black stitching. There is a space saver spare wheel.
At $60,990, the recommended retail price of the value-added Holden Monaro
CV8-R coupe (manual or automatic) is only $1,040 more than the standard Holden
CV8.
