Renault has scored a hat trick at the Fleet World Honours ceremony held in
London last week, with its popular Scenic people mover awarded Best MPV, the
Kangoo van collecting the Best Light Van award and the Trafic claiming the title
of Best Medium Van.
The awards were judged by a panel of experts representing the leasing and
fleet industries, residual-value guides and Fleet World’s editorial team.
The Scenic triumphed in the hotly contested and prestigious category of Best
MPV - a fantastic result for the vehicle in its first year on sale. The Renault
Scenic is the latest entry from the all-new Megane range of vehicles and will
arrive in Australia in 2005.
For the second consecutive year, the Trafic van was awarded the title of
Commercial Fleet World’s Best Medium Van, with particular emphasis placed on the
vehicle’s outstanding ride and handling, driveability, refinement and features.
The Trafic is the first vehicle in Renault Australia’s all-new light
commercial vehicle range and has already received high praise from the local
fleet industry and small business sector.
The Renault Kangoo boasts many innovative features such as a folding front
passenger seat and the availability of side load doors and these assets
contributed to the vehicle winning its category of Best Light Van. The Kangoo is
due for local release in August and will join the Trafic in an expanding light
commercial vehicle range for Renault in Australia.
