Five black 4WD Toyota RAV4 Cruisers are leading the charge for a new Coca-Cola
initiative in cafes, restaurants and hotels.
The company has launched a range of 250ml glass Contour Bottles and formed a
new sales team to promote sales in cafes, restaurants and bars.
The sales team, known as HORECA, commissioned the 5-Door RAV4s in late March,
to service the Sydney market.
“We chose the RAV4s as trendy vehicles that suit our premium image,” said
National Business Manager for HORECA, Paul Higgins.
“We wanted a vehicle with a smart image that looks at home with a city
lifestyle.”
The first group of five RAV4s provide daily transport for the Coca-Cola sales
representatives.
The five RAV4s are black, with the Coca-Cola logo in silver - on the lower
door panels.
Toyota repowered its 3-Door and 5-Door RAV4 range late last year with a
2.4-litre VVT-i equipped Twin Cam Multi-valve engine.
In addition to the 2.4-litre engine, improvements to RAV4 also included
higher active and passive safety, improved steering, suspension and feature
levels.
Air conditioning and cruise control are standard equipment.
The 2.4 litre engine delivers 120kW of power at 5700rpm and 224Nm of torque
at 4000rpm.
The high-grade RAV4 Cruiser model has five-spoke 16-inch diameter alloy
wheels and large front foglamps as standard equipment.
It is offered with a safety pack option of front seat mounted side airbags
and front and rear curtain-shield airbags, vehicle stability control and
traction control.
