Mitsubishi has revised its Grandis model range in response to customer
demand, and at the same time has announced post-tariff pricing for the newly
released 2.4 litre MIVEC-engined multi-purpose vehicle.
Grandis will now come in one specification level only – what was previously
known as the Luxury Pack – with a RRP of $43,990.
This significant price reduction positions what previously was the luxury
model $1,720 below the previous base model, making it arguably the best value
for money people mover on the market.
With standard features like dual sunroof, 16” alloy wheels, ABS brakes,
front/side/curtain airbags, cruise control, privacy glass and Mitsubishi’s
acclaimed INVECS II smart auto transmission, Grandis now has equipment levels
which most of its competitors have as optional, or on higher priced models.
The changes take effect from 1 August 2004, and position the stylish and
feature-packed vehicle ideally for budget-conscious families. Grandis is also
great value for business customers that are eligible for great business bonuses
– something that not all manufacturers offer on this class of vehicle.
At the same time Mitsubishi has announced a 3-month introductory price for
the release of the new ZF Outlander with its powerful 2.4 litre MIVEC engine.
The entry LS model will be offered at the promotional price of $29,990 (RRP of
$32,490) for three months, also effective the 1st of August.
Outlander has received a significant upgrade with the release of the ZF
series. Apart from the 20% increase in power, and 7% increase in torque due to
the new MIVEC engine, the LS also now gets power disc brakes all round (with
Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), slightly revised exterior styling front and
back, a white-faced instrument cluster, and the addition of roof rails and a
large rear spoiler as standard.
The promotional price for LS Outlander makes it a very attractive proposition
for young families wanting a value-packed compact SUV that has the same
all-wheel driveline as the famed Lancer rally cars, and gives great handling on
and off-road.
