The immediate strength of Volvo's XC70 is versatility. The Volvo
all-wheel-drive wagon offers a unique combination of talents which makes it the

The XC70 will comfortably take you and your adventure gear to those away

The XC70 weighs only 1655 kg – the lightest and most fuel efficient luxury
SUV on the market at a claimed 11.1L/100km (ADR 81). The XC70's potent 2.5-litre
turbocharged five-cylinder engine effortlessly and efficiently produces 154kW
and 320Nm of torque delivering it groundward via a computer-controlled
all-wheel-drive system.
Volvo enhances its crossover XC70 for 2005 on a number of points, each of
which helps strengthen the all-wheel-drive wagon’s broad-based appeal and
character.
New Features for MY05 XC70 Wagon:

The larger door mirrors are from Volvo's larger XC90 to provide better
rearward vision for safer day-to-day driving and for towing.
The special XC attributes – the robust bumpers, the wheel housing extensions
and the lower side trims – now come in a new stone grey which replaces the
previous blue-grey.
The XC70 wears a new set of shoes, specifically the 16x7-inch Erinus design
alloy wheel and 215/65 soles.
These interior and exterior design elements improve upon Volvo's
revolutionary lifestyle vehicle first launched on the Australian market in 1997.
The XC70 driving character is enhanced with Volvo's second-generation Four-C
(Continuously Controlled Chassis Concept) active chassis system. This advanced
damper control system debuted on Volvo's high-performance S60 R sedan and V70 R
wagon and was introduced as an option on S80 last year. Four-C is one of few
options ($3950) available on the highly equipped XC70.
Volvo's world-first 'blind spot' safety technology – BLIS – will be available
as an option early in 2005. This leading-edge technology carries an attractive
price of $1200.
The 2005 XC70 gains (as standard equipment) a glass power sunroof, heated
front seats, wood-rim steering wheel, bi-xenon headlamps and auto-dimming rear
vision mirror. Pricing for XC70 is $69,950.
In addition, MY05 XC70 features an outstanding Dolby Pro-Logic II sound
system with an in-dash six stacker CD player. The crisp, clear, brilliant in-car
sound system has become a Volvo hallmark.
