Toyota has launched special run-out edition Echo 3-Door and
5-Door hatchback models, each with $1800 in added value.
Echo Rush will be on sale from June until stocks are exhausted. Toyota’s new
Echo Rush is offered with the choice of manual or automatic transmission.
Additional specification in Echo Rush consists of 14-inch alloy wheels, front
power windows, front fog lamps and a Rush badge. Recommended retail prices begin
at $14,990* for the 3-Door manual model.
Toyota Echo hatchback has a 1.3-litre VVT-i engine that delivers 63kW of
power at 6000rpm and 122Nm of torque at 4400rpm.
All Echo hatchbacks have power-assisted rack and pinion steering, air
conditioning, MP3-compatible CD/tuner with four speakers, height-adjustable
driver’s seat, 60:40 split-fold rear seat and keyless power door locks.
Echo Rush has the option of a Safety Pack, consisting of a front passenger
SRS airbag (in addition to the standard driver SRS airbag) and ABS anti-skid
brakes with electronic brake force distribution.
The Safety Pack has a recommended retail price of $1000.
Limited edition Echo Rush is offered in eight exterior colours: Snow Cap
White, Quicksilver, Pewter, Cherry, Ink, Bishop Blue, Blue Mystique and Cascade
Blue.
Echo was Australia’s top-selling Light car in 2004, setting a new record of
17,879 sales, up 5.3 per cent on 2003.
Echo captured 21.3 per cent of the segment, according to industry
statistician VFACTS.
