Toyota is celebrating its number one sales performance in the first half of the year by improving the value for money of three of its popular family models.

It has significantly reduced the recommended retail prices of all grades of Tarago and Avensis Verso people movers and improved the price of five-seat CV-grade Kluger.

“These price realignments are part of Toyota’s determination to extend its sales lead in the second half of the year,” said Toyota Australia’s executive director of sales and marketing, David Buttner.

“In combination with a couple of limited-edition models we have planned and the release of an all-new model in the fourth quarter, we believe the price realignments demonstrate Toyota’s commitment to long-term market leadership,” said Mr Buttner.

The hot-selling seven-seat Kluger CV Sport Limited Edition now has a recommended retail price of $44,490* – a reduction of $500.

The price of five-seat Kluger CV has been reduced by $2000 to $41,990*, without any change to equipment and specification.

The recommended retail price of Tarago GLi is now $5110 lower at $45,490*.

Tarago GLX has a new recommended retail price of $51,240* – a $5350 reduction – while Tarago Ultima’s price has dropped by $5870 to $64,990*.

Toyotas Avensis GLX has received a price reduction of $4610 to $36,990*, while Avensis Ultima has a new recommended retail price of $41,740* – a reduction of $4860.

Equipment and specification on all Tarago and Avensis models remain the same.

*Recommended retail prices exclude dealer delivery costs and statutory charges.
