Pirelli is pleased to announce its presence as Original Equipment on the new
Peugeot 407 Coupé presented last week to the international press in Granada
(Spain) exclusively equipped with the Ultra High Performance tyres P Zero Nero
in 18 inch.
The P Zero Nero ultra-low profile tyres, derived from Pirelli’s experience in
motor racing and from the application of the most advanced production methods,
have been developed for handling high torque output and the sophisticated set-up
of cars with large diameter rims.
In particular the P Zero Nero tyres feature a special structure, thermally
stable materials and a tread compound in which the interaction between polymers,
silicas and resins produces excellent adhesion at high temperature in the dry
and low temperature in the wet. These benefits combined with a flat profile on
the road ensure an even distribution of the tyre’s footprint, a better stability
under high speed and lateral acceleration as well as excellent grip and
resistance to aquaplaning.
The new Pirelli homologation for the Peugeot 407 Coupé and the exclusive
equipment of all the cars with V6 engine presented at the international media
test drive, underline the excellent cooperation between the two companies.
Pirelli High Performance and Ultra High Performance tyres have been chosen as
original equipment for the Peugeot 206, 307 and 607 models, as well as on the
407 Saloon and SW.
The new Peugeot 407 Coupé fitment confirms Pirelli’s growth in the Original
Equipment sector as well as its strong positioning on the market’s highest
segments.
