Forester topped the Subaru list with 1038 sales, contributing to Subaru’s strong market share of 4.1 per cent for the month.

Combined with 503 Outback sales, the result maintained Subaru’s long-held dominance of the SUV Compact category, with a 25.8 per cent share for the month.

Impreza also achieved a February record of 977 vehicles, while Liberty sold 642.

Subaru Managing Director Nick Senior said: “Our roll-out of special editions continues through March, including duotone Outback, Impreza 2.0R Luxury and Forester X Weekender, so our customers will continue to have access to an even greater variety of model options.”
