Melbourne – Mercedes-Benz is expanding its Light Commercial dealer network to
include as of next month the conveniently located Mercedes-Benz of Sydney.
Located on the corner of Joynton Avenue and Elizabeth Streets Zetland, mid
way between the city and airport, Mercedes-Benz of Sydney will also begin
servicing on Saturdays in order to cater for all customers, especially those who
rely on their vehicles during the week for their occupation.
“Mercedes-Benz of Sydney is pleased to now offer both the Mercedes-Benz Vito
and Sprinter Light Commercial Vehicle range,” said Dimitri Kotsalis, dealer
principal of Mercedes-Benz of Sydney.
“Given our close proximity to the city and airport, we anticipate many light
commercial vehicle customers will appreciate our location.
“The option of getting your vehicle serviced on the weekend is also very
practical given that many light commercial vehicles are heavily relied upon
during the week for work applications. All day Saturday servicing will commence
on June 17 for all Mercedes-Benz vehicles,” said Kotsalis.
Vito and Sprinter continue to be very popular with light commercial vehicle
buyers. Year-to-date sales are ahead of last year with Sprinter sales posting a
15% increase over the same period last year.
In 2005, the new Vito range posted an all time yearly sales record, with
1,791 vehicles delivered, 7.8 per cent ahead of the previous record year in
2004.
The Vito and Sprinter range offer customers with multiple options, value and
flexibility for all transport needs.
With the recent addition of Mercedes-Benz of Sydney, the Mercedes-Benz Light
Commercial dealer network now consists of 52 dealerships across Australia.
“Mercedes-Benz Light Commercial Vehicles were first introduced into Australia
in 1998 and since then, the expansion of our dealer networks has ensured that
the sales success of the Vito and Sprinter has continued. It is great to now
have a central Light Commercial dealer in the heart of Sydney to better reach
and service our customers,” said Campbell York, senior executive responsible for
Light Commercial Vehicles in Australia.
