Mazda Australia has just experienced its best September on record, achieving
5764 retail sales and 7.2 per cent market share according to VFACTS figures
released today.
Australia’s leading importer has re-affirmed its top spot, selling nearly
1000 cars more than its nearest rival.
Following increased supply, newly released models and upgrades as well as the
company’s annual nation-wide sale, M-Day, Mazda Australia continues to boom.
The newly revitalised Mazda3 led the company’s success, experiencing its best
month on record with 3327 retail sales. Featuring better fuel economy, Dynamic
Stability Control, cruise control, iPod capability and ABS, coupled with a new
marketing campaign, the Mazda3 has proven even more popular with customers.
Mazda’s class-leading range also excelled with B-Series achieving 717 sales,
its best result ever for September.
Mazda2 also had a good month with 429 sales, while the ever popular Mazda6,
recorded 883 sales. The performance range continued to dominate with MX-5
recording 117 sales and RX-8 achieving 74 retail sales.
“This is a fantastic achievement for Mazda Australia. The Mazda dealer
network continues to prove why they are the best motor vehicle dealers in the
country,” Mazda Australia managing director Mr Doug Dickson said.
“September’s result backs up our sales forecast at the beginning of this
year. With an abundance of new product, increased supply and a strong final
quarter campaign we are looking forward to continued growth to cap of a great
2006.”
