Audi Australia has achieved another record for the month of November – this time
breaking through the 600 units per month barrier.
Ending the month with sales of 611 units, November 2006 is officially the
best-ever result for the company in Australia. This represents a leap of 53
percent compared with November 2005.
Cumulatively, Audi is now almost 20 percent up on its November 2005
year-to-date sales result and heading into its final month of sales with an
exceptionally strong outlook.
Managing Director, Joerg Hofmann, commented, “After achieving record results
for five consecutive months in a row, we have raised the bar even higher this
month and for the first time ever, have achieved national sales above 600
units.”
“To top off our great sales result, we have also won two impressive awards at
the inaugural Drive Car of the Year event held last week in Sydney. Both the
Audi TT and Q7 won their relevant categories, and the TT was crowned overall
2006 Drive Car of the Year!
“Audi’s star in undoubtedly on the rise in Australia,” Mr Hofmann said.
Audi will also launch three new cars before year-end, with the fearless RS 4
Avant, S6 and S8 supercars arriving on Australian shores in mid-December – just
in time to be wrapped and placed under the Christmas tree.
