is no cause for alarm.
>To coincide with the New South Wales ski season, Mercedes-Benz
has established an Alpine Response Vehicle to further assist customers with any
minor car problems whilst on holiday, and to maximise peace of mind when heading
to the snow.
>Specifically set up to provide help to Mercedes-Benz Road Care
customers in the NSW ski fields, the Mercedes-Benz M-Class 4WD SUV is specially
equipped to assist with issues such as flat tyres and the fitment of snow
chains, and will be on hand for any other matters necessitating a phone call to
Mercedes-Benz Road Care.
>This special customer service initiative is a cooperative
amongst Mercedes-Benz, Mondial Assistance Group and Capital Star Motors,
Canberra’s authorised dealer for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, light commercials
and smart.
>Whilst at the snow, Mercedes-Benz Road Care customers in need
of assistance with their Mercedes-Benz passenger car or SUV simply need to call
the 1800 807 700 telephone number (located on the upper right-hand corner of
their car’s windscreen). For minor problems, such as flat tyres and running out
of fuel, the Mercedes-Benz Alpine Response Unit will be dispatched to assist.
For issues requiring further assistance, towing facilities will be available and
the offer of a suitable all-wheel-drive Mercedes-Benz loan car, if needed.
>Customers covered by the Mercedes-Benz Road Care Assistance
programme who are in need of a loan car due to any operational difficulties with
their own car will have either a GL 320 CDI or R 320 CDI SUV (supplied by
Capital Star and subject to availability) on hand, ensuring minimal interruption
to their holiday plans and the sure-footedness of Mercedes-Benz’ 4MATIC
all-wheel drive system when driving on slippery alpine roads.
>This unique customer service offer covers the major NSW
highways from Goulburn to Perisher Valley and Thredbo Village.
>Specifically, it covers the Federal Highway from Goulburn to
Canberra, the Monaro Highway from Canberra to Cooma and major roads into the ski
fields from Cooma and Jindabyne. Coverage by the Alpine Response M-Class SUV’s
will extend as far as 40 km from these major roads.
>To support each vehicle’s comprehensive 3-year / unlimited
kilometre warranty, all new Mercedes-Benz passenger car and SUV’s come with 3
years of 24-hour road-side assistance from the date of first registration.
