total of 2368 Suzuki vehicles were sold in June, making it
the best ever selling month by Suzuki Australia and keeping the company on track
to increase sales for the fifth consecutive year.
“June continued the fantastic sales results for Suzuki as more
and more Australian customers caught up with the sensational value offered at
their Suzuki dealership,” said Suzuki Australia General Manager Tony Devers.
“A total of 2358 cars drove out of Suzuki dealerships last
month, representing a 53 per cent increase over the June 2006 result.
“The Sensational Suzuki Saturday sales event was a big factor
in the great sales story, with dealers all around the country reporting best
ever sales months.”
Devers said sales were strong for all the Suzuki brands, with
SX4, APV and Swift all recording their best ever monthly sales result and the
Grand Vitara SUV continues to enhance it’s reputation in the compact segment.
“The momentum we have built all year continues to grow, with
the June result representing a 26 per cent increase over what was a record May
figure.
“Total Suzuki sales for the first six months of 2007 are more
than 3200 up on the 2006 January-June figure.
“That represents a huge 43 per cent increase and keeps us
firmly on track to meet our goal of 20,000 vehicles for the year.”
Devers said: “Our continuing priority is to raise the profile
of the Suzuki brand and our dealer network in Australia. The quality, style,
reliability and value for money aspect of Suzuki vehicles have been kept a
secret for too long. We will be communicating the core values of Suzuki through
the immense success achieved through various forms of motor sport including the
JWRC”.
