Joseph Curcic is the new District Manager for Western and
Central regions, an area which includes all Suzuki dealerships in Western
Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory.
Curcic boasts more than 20 years within the automotive
industry, and was most recently employed by Holden where he managed Holden by
Design.
He takes over the position from David Maddern, who has moved
to newly created senior position managing vehicle logistics.
Suzuki Australia General Manager Tony Devers said Curcic would
be based in Perth, traveling regularly to South Australia and the Northern
Territory to provide high levels of professional support for the Suzuki dealer
network.
“Joseph’s location in Perth is recognition of the importance
of that market, which now represents around 10 per cent of the total industry
volume,” Devers said.
Justin Wilkie is the new District Manager for NSW, one of two
managers who will service both metropolitan and rural dealerships throughout
NSW.
Wilkie has been in the automotive industry for almost 10
years, most recently with Mitsubishi.
Devers said the new appointments were another pointer to the
strong growth of the company.
“These two appointments are further proof of the strong growth
of the Suzuki brand in Australia, which registered its best ever sales month in
June with more than 2300 vehicles driving out of Suzuki dealerships.
“We have just recorded the most successful half-yearly sales
record in the company’s history, with total Suzuki sales for the first six
months of 2007 registering an increase of more than 3200 up on the 2006
January-June figure.
“That represents a huge 43 per cent increase and keeps us
firmly on track to meet our goal of 20,000 vehicles for the year.”
“Justin and Joseph represent key players in our continuing
priority to raise the profile of the Suzuki brand and our dealer network in
Australia,” said Devers.
