Audi has announced pricing for the stunning new A5 and S5
Coupe models soon to arrive in Australia.
This entirely new model is Audi’s interpretation of a classic
touring coupe, marrying sporty dynamism with refined elegance to produce an
undeniably stylish vehicle.
Audi’s well-known sophistication and quality is combined with
progressive design, ensuring the new A5 and S5 Coupé models exude an elegant and
dynamic character. Powerful and economical FSI and TDI engines are mated to the
A5’s completely new high-precision running gear, which, along with innovative,
luxury-class equipment features, make this coupe peerless in its segment.
Audi Australia’s Managing Director, Mr Joerg Hofmann, says the
new A5 Coupe heralds a clear step forward for the brand in terms of
desirability.
“This new Coupe is a stunning vehicle and we believe it is the
best in its class. With competitive pricing, advanced engine technology and
elegant design, the A5 and S5 models will surely turn the heads of the luxury
car-buying public,” Mr Hofmann said.
“Audi is a brand on the move in Australia and this new model
will help propel us towards yet another period of record sales growth.”
Arriving Downunder in October 2007, the new A5 will be priced
from $91,900 for the 195kW 3.2-litre FSI multitronic version with 330Nm.
In response to the desires of the brand’s increasingly
performance-oriented customers, the sporty S5 4.2-litre V8 quattro Coupe with
260kW and 440Nm is priced at $131,900 will also be available at the October
launch.
Several additional engines will join these launch variants in
2008, including a 1.8 TFSI (125kW) and 3.0 TDI (176kW and 500Nm) engine.
The dynamic performance supplied by the advanced FSI and TDI
engines is highly efficient and eco-friendly. The diesel engine boasts a Diesel
Particulate Filters (dpf) as standard and already complies with the EU5 standard
which will apply in future. Thanks to a range of technical innovations, the fuel
consumption and CO2 values are impressively low for each of these engines.
With a length of 4.63 metres, the Audi A5 is a capacious coupe
with four comfortable seats and an ample load volume of 455 litres, clearly
highlighting that this car is a spacious long-distance tourer.
High levels of standard specification, vehicle security and
safety are assured with this new model.
