of Stuttgart in the South-West of Germany, is the designo customisation

stone interior trim elements, Alcantara roof linings, Nappa-leather covered
dashes and instrument clusters, designo wood/leather steering wheels and

designo, the options are virtually unlimited - the range of upholstery
colours and metallic paint finishes is extensive, along with the wide-ranging

Sourcing appropriate materials is a painstaking task; the exclusive
designo leather hides come from south-German pedigree bulls which provide
the beautifully smooth and unblemished surface free of scars and stretch-marks.
The tanning process is chrome-free and low in harmful substances. The precious
natural woods used for interior trim elements, steering wheels and shift levers
are all subject to guaranteed long-term production and sustainability - you will
not find a Mercedes-Benz fitted with protected tropical woods.

The SLK 350
The SLK 350 features a six-cylinder engine that produces 200kW of power and
350 Nm of torque which propels it to 100 km/h from a standstill in 5.5 seconds
with the 7G-TRONIC 7-speed automatic transmission. Mercedes-Benz uses a variable
intake and exhaust camshaft adjustment in the V6 engine boosting output and
torque, whilst helping to save fuel. Further technical highlights are the second
intake manifold, tumble flaps in the intake ducts and intelligent heat
management.
This pioneering safety, technology and stylish design have ensured the
SLK-Class remains the world leader in the compact roadster segment, a segment
this vehicle created at its international debut in 1996.
