Melbourne – Streams of bright red tail lights are a common site in Sydney traffic but a new red streak of a different hue will soon adorn the streets of the harbour city.

This week, six bright red Mercedes-Benz vans will commence their journey in a unique city-wide road show.

Titled ‘Mercedes-Benz Vans: Love Your Work’, this travelling motorcade will showcase the Vito and Sprinter van ranges from Mercedes-Benz.

The central goal of this unique travelling motor show is to bring the Mercedes-Benz van line-up to potential customers, many of whom are business owners and operators who generally don’t often have the time to visit a dealership due to their busy work requirements.

The ‘Love Your Work’ motorcade will conduct some sixty events across Sydney during the next six months. Specific to this road show is that ‘Love Your Work’ will stop at a variety of venues specific to potential van customers, such as their place of work and supplier locations. Not only will this give members of the public the opportunity to experience the Mercedes-Benz Vito and Sprinter van ranges up close, it will allow them to do so with a minimum of disruption to their busy schedules.

Commenting at the ‘Love your Work’ event launch in Sydney’s Centennial Park, managing director of DaimlerChrysler Commercial Vehicles, Ken Matthews, said the road show was more than a visual extravaganza.

“Our customers are very busy people and their van investment is often not taken lightly.

“Our team understands that it’s not always convenient to make time to visit one of our authorised dealers so we’ve decided to bring our award-winning range to them. This way, they can experience first-hand how the Vito and Sprinter van ranges fit the specific needs of their business at a time and place convenient to them.”

The ‘Love Your Work’ motorcade is comprised of the award-winning Mercedes-Benz van range, which includes both the Vito and Sprinter. They might all be red in colour but both models are presented in a variety of configurations, highlighting the available combinations in terms of wheelbase, GVM, roof height, engine capacity and specification levels.

Of particular note is the Sprinter Cab Chassis in the mix of vans, the payload of which is an unmistakeable oversized blue esky built to show the volume of cargo that this versatile worker can carry.

It is not only the vocational suitability of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Vito, however, which is at the heart of the message built into the ‘Love Your Work’ travelling road show.

It’s also the impressive credentials that both of these award-winning vans enjoy.

Safety, technology, comfort, on-road performance and cost-effectiveness can be found in both models, no matter what the application.

The Sprinter and Vito brim with safety and comfort technology often only the exclusive domain of European sports and luxury cars. For example, both models are fitted with Adaptive ESP® as standard equipment, Mercedes-Benz’s stability control system that not only senses the driving situation to prevent a skid but also the weight and position of the cargo on board to optimise its effectiveness.

All models are also fitted with a raft of active and passive safety equipment along with an array of comfort-oriented features designed to make the working day on the road less tiring and more enjoyable.

Mercedes-Benz offers a benchmark 3-year /200,000km new vehicle warranty with both the Vito and Sprinter vans along with cargo solutions up to five tonnes in the Sprinter range.
