The outstanding success that Chrysler Australia has enjoyed this year is largely
attributed to the exciting portfolio of new vehicles that have arrived during
the past 12 months.
For the first time this year, the Australian public will have the chance to
see each of our vehicles in the one location, at the Australian International
Motor Show in Sydney.
“The Sydney Motor Show is a great venue for our loyal Jeep and Chrysler fans
to see their favourite cars side by side,” said Gerry Jenkins, managing
director, Chrysler Australia. “While the Dodge brand continues to excite a new
breed of fans that can’t get enough of the muscular lines seen on Caliber, Nitro
and Avenger,” said Jenkins.
It’s been a jam packed year for Chrysler Australia with no less than seven
new models launched in Australia from Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge. 2007 has also
allowed us to produce our best ever month and since July, set a new benchmark of
over 1000 new vehicle sales each month.
Joining the Chrysler range this year is the 300C’s little brother, the all
new and elegant Chrysler Sebring sedan. You only have to look for the crowd in
the Chrysler stand and you will find the Chrysler 300C. Since its arrival, the
300C has created a cult following that seems to grow each year.
As well as the tough 300C SRT8 and versatile 300C Touring wagon, the 300C
Alpine Electronics concept car will also be on display.
One of our most important vehicles launched this year was the all new Jeep
Wrangler, both in its traditional two door form and as the four door Unlimited.
Another first for Australia was the launch of the highly capable Jeep Wrangler
Rubicon.
The all new Jeep Wrangler has gone from strength to strength with close to
1200 new Wranglers finding homes in Australia since its market release in March
2007.
Both the Wrangler Rubicon and its big daddy the Jeep Grand Cherokee, will be
displaying there 4X4 capabilities at the Sydney Motor Show 4X4 track throughout
the course of the motor show.
Other Jeep vehicles on display will be the Compass, Cherokee, Commander,
Grand Cherokee SRT8 and the new entry level compact Jeep SUV, the Patriot.
Dodge will for the first time muscle in with three cars on its stand, with
the Caliber, the tough new Nitro and the recently launched Avenger.
On Saturday, October 20th the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge stand will be the
place to be for kids as there will be balloons, posters and temporary tattoos on
offer during family day.
