Subaru's much anticipated new generation Impreza WRX STI has made its debut
at Tokyo Motor Show.
The Subaru performance icon features an all-new hatchback style, based on the
recently launched Impreza range.
The car displayed in Tokyo is a domestic specification 2.0 litre version.
Details of the Australian specification WRX STI have yet to be released, but
Subaru Australia has confirmed that it will have a 2.5 litre turbocharged
engine.
External differences from Impreza WRX include flared guards, rear wing, dual
exhaust, wheels, front and rear bumper profiles and grille.
Impreza WRX STI will go on sale in Australia in the first quarter of
2008.
