The new DreamWorks Pictures film “The Heartbreak Kid” features a MINI Cooper Cabrio and co-stars Ben Stiller, Michelle Monaghan, Jerry Stiller, and Malin Akerman.

Unlike many previous car movies and the acclaimed 2007 web-based action MINI serial “Hammer & Coop”, the MINI Cabrio in “The Heartbreak Kid” leaves the dialogue to the actors, and spends most of its time, roof down, soaking up the rays on the road from Hollywood to Mexico.

Despite not having any dialogue, the Hyper Blue MINI Cooper Cabrio does have the best lines, especially when the roof is open. As the chariot of choice for the happy honeymooners, the MINI Cabrio is the ideal transport with its zippy performance and standout looks.

In “The Heartbreak Kid” Ben Stiller plays eternal bachelor Eddie, who falls head over heels in love with the beautiful Lila (Malin Akerman) and marries at top speed. The newlyweds quickly set off to sunny Mexico in their MINI Cabrio. But even on the journey, the would-be dream woman turns out, in typical Farrelly manner, to be a real nightmare.

Luckily for Eddie he is driving a MINI, so all is not lost. Then he meets pretty Miranda (Michelle Monaghan).

As part of a global promotion for the film, which opens in Australia this Thursday, 22 November, MINI is offering the chance for three lucky sweepstakes winners to retrace the route taken by the actors, and use the same Hyper Blue MNI Cooper Cabrio that starred in the film. The honeymoon trip travels from California to Cabo San Lucas and includes accommodation. Other prizes include original Onitsuka Tiger shoes – the lifestyle shoe brand seen in the film. In addition to The Heartbreak Kid, MINI’s on screen repertoire includes many appearances in TV shows as well as a stirring role in the 2002 Austin Powers movie “Goldmember” and of course the memorable 2003 outing in “The Italian Job”.
