If you’re in the market for a new V10 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, you could
pick up a pristine low-kilometre example at Monday’s Shannons Melbourne Summer
Auction (November 26) and still have enough change for a Hummer and a ski
boat.
Delivered new in Australia to its first owner in June 2006, the stunning
Gallardo Spyder finished in Giallo Midas with Nero Perseus leather trim is being
offered for sale on behalf of a major financial institution.
Powered by a mid-mounted 5.0 litre V10 engine developing 388kW at 8,000rpm,
the aluminium-bodied Gallardo Spyder offered true Supercar performance when
introduced in late 2005, with 0-100km/h claimed in just 4.3 seconds on its way
to a top speed of 314km/h.
Although originally listed at $439,999, this particular Spyder was ordered
with a long list of options that added a further $74,500 to its price, taking
its total new cost to $514,499 plus on-road charges.
These options included the paddle-shift E-Gear transmission package (with
Sport and Automatic modes) for the six-speed transmission, special three-layer
metallic paint, Branding Package, Leather Package, Journey Package, Uni-Colour
Sportive interior, electric heated seats, anti-theft alarm, navigation system,
on-board computer with reversing camera and the lifting system for the front
suspension to clear car park speed humps.
Having travelled only 10,030kms since delivery, this is a rare opportunity to
purchase a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder at a considerable saving over list price,
with Shannons
quoting a guiding range of $350,000-$400,000.
