With the release of the Series II Holden Commodore Equipe, Australia's best selling car becomes an even better value-for-money proposition.
Holden is confident that its latest "value pack" Commodore - which offers upgraded equipment levels and individual good looks - will enjoy the same sellout success as previous Equipe models.
On top of all the comfort, convenience, safety and performance features that have made Commodore the country's most popular car, the 1996 Series II Equipe delivers $3000 worth of added value.
The limited edition Commodore Equipe is based on the Commodore Executive model and is available in ECOTEC V6 automatic sedan and wagon configurations.
The Equipe's stand-out looks are enhanced by exclusive alloy wheels, special body side mouldings and bumper inserts, chrome exhaust outlet, special seat and door trim fabrics, Equipe identification and roof rack (wagon only). The colour selection is Alaskan (White), Botanica (Blue/Green) and Orion Silver, which is exclusive to the Series II Commodore Equipe.
Additional features included as standard equipment are: air conditioning, power windows, cruise control, upgraded radio with CD controls and a power antenna. Driver's airbag and anti-lock (ABS) brakes are optional.
"Over the years, Holden has created a value-added tradition by presenting well-specified, limited edition versions of its most popular models -- and the Commodore Equipe has proved the most successful by far," said Holden Director of Sales and Marketing, Kevin Wale.
"The release of a Series II version of the VS Commodore Equipe comes as a direct response to the voice of the consumer. It reinforces Holdens commitment to meeting value expectations and confirms our reputation as the pacesetter in this area," he said.
