Audi Expands Dealer Network to Brighton, Victoria

8 June, 1999

The Audi dealer network has been expanded in Victoria as part of the company's commitment to upgrading its national dealer network.

Audi Centre Brighton began trading on May 31, 1999 at 182 Brighton Road, Elsternwick, with dealer principal Goglia Automotive Group's, Mr Julian Goglia, at the helm.

The current dealership property will undergo an extensive revamp in line with Audi's global dealer showroom concept. Construction will commence at the site shortly and will be completed by the end of this year. In the meantime, temporary signage has been erected in line with Audi's prestige dealership image.

According to Mr Goglia, once construction has been finalised at Audi Centre Brighton, it will incorporate a state-of-the-art showroom with sales, service and parts located on the site.

"Audi Centre Brighton will be the number one Audi dealership in Victoria," said dealer principal, Mr Julian Goglia.

"We are committed to making Audi a success within our locality and will ensure that our key focus is on the customer. Audi's customer service index (CSI) will guide our business operations and will be used to motivate and reward our staff.

"It is common knowledge that successful dealerships nowadays must be committed to ensuring customers have a positive dealership experience each and every time they walk through the front door, whether it is to purchase a new car, have their vehicle serviced or purchase parts or accessories," Mr Goglia said.

Mr Goglia is well-qualified to meet his goals according to Audi's managing director, Matthias Seidl.

"Julian Goglia has had extensive experience with prestige vehicle marques during his 28-year career in the automotive industry. The site at Brighton/Elsternwick is prominent and will profit well from sales of Audi vehicles in its prime market area.

"Audi Centre Brighton is the first in a handful of new dealerships to be added to our dealer network in line with the company's commitment to increasing sales and profile in Australia," Mr Seidl said.

The guiding principle behind the multi-million dollar architectural upgrade of showroom and workshop facilities is Audi AG's vision of 'One name. One standard. Everywhere'.

Globally, Audi's dealer network is estimated to be spending around DM 3.3 billion (approx. A$ 3.26 billion), with DM 1.2 billion to be invested in Germany alone.

In addition to the newly-launched Audi TT Coupe, Audi Centre Brighton will benefit from a host of new models to be introduced by Audi in the latter half of 1999.

New models to arrive in Australia include the powerful A6 V8, potent S3 and S4 variants, as well as a long-wheelbase A8 and the 165kW Audi TT Coupe quattro.
