Carry-all seating with new 40/20/40 tri-split rear seat

The Volvo Cross Country is extremely adaptable, built to suit a wide variety of needs. The Cross Country carries five adult passengers comfortably, and when fitted with Volvo’s optional rear-facing child seat, the Cross Country seats seven.

As a positive consequence of its V70 origins, the Cross Country’s rear seat and front passenger seat fold completely flat allowing extensive cargo carrying.

Unique to the Cross Country is an optional 40/20/40 tri-split folding rear backrest. The seat back can be quickly adjusted to accommodate a variety of loads and passenger seating configurations and is accompanied by a cargo net which protects passengers from objects in the load area.

The standard rear seat is divided 60/40, integral with retractable cargo net.

With the optional 40/20/40 rear seat, when the centre section is folded down, two adults can still sit comfortably in the remaining seat sections.

To accompany the unique 40/20/40 spit seat configuration, Volvo has designed an optional storage bag and a refrigerated box which sit perfectly between the two outer rear sections.

The 17-litre refrigerated box is hard mounted between the two rear seats and plugs into the electrical system via a socket in the cargo compartment. The refrigerated box and storage bag are both offered as a dealer-fit option.

An optional First Aid kit locates behind the rear seat backrest.

While the all-wheel-drive Cross Country is a car-like vehicle designed for adventure, it does not compromise itself nor its occupants with inferior crash protection. Unlike many luxury 4WD wagons, the Volvo Cross Country is comprehensively equipped with passive safety features common across Volvo’s range of cars.

WHIPS, SIPS, IC and dual-stage airbag deployment are standard features on the Volvo Cross Country to ensure world-class occupant protection.
