Citroën has
announced that the first 100 Citroën Xsara Coupe VTRs sold in Australia
when the first cars hit the show rooms this week will come with $2000 worth of
ABS anti lock brakes with electronic brake force distribution free of charge,
making the new Coupe's $23,990 price even more remarkable.
"We took
advantage of the Australian dollar's all to brief stay above 55 cents to the US
dollar to buy the initial launch stock of the Citroën Xsara Coupe VTR with
ABS included in the cost," explains Miles Williams, General Manager for
Citroën in Australia. "The inclusion of ABS in the $23,990 price makes the
Xsara Coupe even more remarkable value for money. It adds, along with the high
equipment level, renown Citroën driving experience and the glamorous style
of the Xsara Coupe, even more to the attractiveness of the Xsara
Coupe."
The Xsara
Coupe VTR is one of a new four car line up for the Xsara that includes two
versions of the five door Xsara, at $25,490 for the 1.6 litre version and
$31,490 for the new automatic 2.0 litre Xsara five door. The range is topped by
the high performance Citroën Xsara Coupe VTS at $32,990. All share high
levels of standard equipment and superb levels of handling, road holding and
ride comfort endowed by Citroën's unique expertise.
