Volkswagen Group Australia has officially 'signed-off' on its new Australian headquarters in Sydney.
Mr Graham Meredith, Director of Finance, helped lower the Volkswagen sign into place outside Volkswagen’s Gardeners Road office in the suburb of Alexandria.
Dr Robert Büchelhofer, Member of the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG will visit Australia in May to officially open the local HQ.
Recruitment of staff is almost complete – currently Volkswagen Group Australia has 52 employees.
Mr Peter Nochar, Managing Director of Volkswagen Group Australia explained that with office logistics almost complete, the company’s focus is now clearly on the launch of significant new products.
"In the next couple of months we will be introducing the new Bora lineup which includes the V6 4motion model and the facelifted Passat GP range." Mr Nochar said. "And we are looking forward to later in the year when the 1.8-litre turbocharged Beetle is launched."
