With the release of the VX Calais International Series, Holden continues its tradition of offering luxury car buyers an exclusively equipped, limited edition version of this prestige performer.

The latest Calais International model provides a sought-after blend of individual styling cues, customised interior appointments and Generation III V8 performance. Only 350 examples will be produced.

The VX Calais International is distinguished by a unique Delft Blue metallic paint finish, sporty 17-inch, six spoke alloy wheels with 235/45 low profile tyres and International Series badging. Its custom-finished interior features Howe leather trim in Shale, teamed with Pewter highlights and a set of custom embroidered mats to create a luxurious feel.

The emphasis is on high quality contemporary touches, such as a two-texture leather-covered steering wheel and a Delft Blue instrument cluster with sports style surrounds in satin silver and contrasting white indicator needles. The cockpit facia and console feature a finely textured 'Greystone' metallic finish.

Power comes courtesy of Holden's advanced Generation III 5.7 litre alloy V8, matched to an electronic control four-speed automatic transmission.

These features are additional to a comprehensive range of equipment fitted as standard on the Holden Calais. Highlights include dual zone climate control, 10-disc CD changer and eight-way seat adjustment. Traction control and anti-lock brakes (ABS) complement superior ride and handling qualities; driver, passenger and side airbags are standard.

John Elsworth, Holden's Marketing Manager, Large Cars, says the Calais International can only enhance the reputation of a model which is already the first choice of most buyers in its segment.

"It's a very well-specified performance car with plenty of individual appeal - and given our experience with previous International Series models, I've absolutely no doubt that demand will once again exceed supply," John Elsworth said.

The VX Holden Calais International is now available through the national Holden dealer network.
