Proton has announced an upgrade to its mid range Persona GLi five door hatch with added features and value for money.
The Persona GLi now comes equipped with driver¹s SRS airbag, power
steering, central locking, power windows, air conditioning and CD
/AM/FM audio system - all as standard equipment.
Proton Cars Australia has re positioned the Persona GLi with a
price of $15,990 making it the best value proposition in its class.
As well as the new features Persona GLi will feature some strong
new colours enhancing the overall package.
According to general manager of Proton Cars Australia, Mr John
Startari the Persona is a practical and well-equipped five-door hatch at
the right price.
"We have added some features and re positioned the price to
underline the value of Persona and make it significantly more attractive
to
buyers in this sector of the market," said Mr Startari.
"It is reliable proven technology with strong safety features and
excellent space and fuel efficiency," he added.
"It is part of our continuing quest to position the Proton range and
offer a high standard of equipment and value for money.
"Improvements in currency exchange rates as well as improving
manufacturing efficiency in our plants in Malaysia will enable us to

Persona GLi¹s four cylinder, 1.5L, fuel injected 12-valve
engine generates maximum torque of 120Nm at just 3000rpm translating
into stronger throttle response for everyday driving.
It is coupled to a five speed manual gearbox or an optional three
speed automatic.
The Persona also has a tight 4.8m turning circle making it highly
manoeuvrable in city traffic.
