Proton has given Australia's best value hot hatch even keener pricing in a special offer for summer which sees the Satria GTi priced at $26,990 with free registration, free CTP greenslip and free stamp duty until the end of February 2003.
The Satria GTi special offer is part of an overall adjustment to Proton pricing as a result of exchange rate improvements and new production efficiencies.
The popular little hot hatch has been a favourite with performance car buyers from 18 to 84 since its launch in Australia in early 2000 and will now be even more popular.
The Satria GTi buyers will now save up to $2500 with the reduction in price from $27,990 as well as up to $1500 in on road costs included at no charge.
According to Proton Cars Australia managing director Mr John Startari the Satria GTi is still a popular performance car and this package will enhance its image in the market.
"The GTi has already established its strong performance credentials and is still the best value car in its class, this offer makes it even better value," he added.
The Satria GTi is powered by a 1.8 litre twin cam 16 valve engine producing 103kWs of power at 6000rpm and 164Nm of torque at 5500rpm.
It accelerates from 0-100kmh in 7.8 seconds and has a top speed of 210km/h.
Satria GTi benefits from the engineering and suspension tuning expertise of famous British company Lotus, a subsidiary of Proton Cars.
All Protons sold in Australia are covered by a 3 year/1 million kilometre warranty, 24 hour roadside assistance and a 1800 customer help line.
Protons are available through the network of Proton dealers around the country.
