Lexus has announced a range of accessories designed to enhance the versatility of its new RX330 luxury sport wagon.

The new model can be fitted with a front nudge bar designed especially for urban driving.

The highly polished tubular aluminium design helps to protect the bumper against dents and scratches, while still being airbag compatible and compliant with Australian Design Rules covering frontal collision protection.

A Lexus Genuine accessory reverse parking sensor to protect RX330 against dents and scratches is also available.

Featuring four colour-keyed rear bumper-mounted sensors, the system takes the guess-work out of parking.

The reverse parking sensor detects objects from as much as 1.5 metres away, alerting the driver with a series of beeps within the cabin, which become more frequent as the object gets closer.

The RX330 can also be fitted with a genuine accessory tow bar, which bolts to dedicated body mounting points and is rated to tow up to 1500 kilograms (with a braked trailer) where state regulations permit.

The towbar is mostly hidden behind the vehicle's bumper for a discreet appearance and positioned to maximise departure angle on steep driveways or boat-ramps.

It also features an anti-rattle adjustment and a high-quality gloss powder-coated finish to complement the RX330's styling.

The towbar was developed using computer 3D modelling and stress analysis equipment and tested to ensure it meets both Australian Design Rules and the rigorous standards of Lexus.

The tow bar can be paired with a genuine accessory trailer wiring harness, which fully integrates into the vehicle's wiring.

RX330 owners can also specify Lexus genuine accessory roof racks, which have been designed to match the model's standard roof rails.

The roof rails feature aerodynamic styling to minimise wind-noise.

RX330 can also be fitted with headlight covers made from impact resistant, UV-stabilised acrylic.

A cargo mat designed specifically for RX330's load area features the Lexus logo and a 35-millimetre lip to contain liquid spills.

All genuine RX330 accessories are covered by a three year or 100,000km (whichever occurs first) warranty when fitted by a Lexus dealer at the time of new vehicle purchase.

If a genuine RX330 accessory is fitted after purchase then that accessory is warranted for the remainder of the new car warranty or for 12 months, whichever is the longer.
