The Kalos experience is now more convenient with GM Daewoo announcing the availability of optional central locking. For an additional recommended retail price of $350, the stylish new Kalos hatch or sedan features central locking for easier access and security.

Launched in April, the exciting Kalos five-door hatch and Kalos four-door sedan are the latest additions to the GM Daewoo range.

"The optional central locking feature delivers more convenience and security in the new Kalos hatch and sedan," said Graeme Coverdale, Managing Director of GM Daewoo Australia.

The powering force behind the Kalos is a lively new E-TEC II 1.5 litre SOHC Mpi engine.

The new E-TEC II engine delivers more power at a low to mid range engine speed, delivering maximum torque 3000 rpm. Engine noise is lower due to the engine block, crankshaft and sump which have been redesigned to reduce engine noise, vibration and harshness. The wheel suspension and sophisticated chassis combined with power steering provide a comfortable driving experience.

"The Kalos has standard safety features such as the dual driver and front passenger airbags, front and rear crumple zones for cabin protection, B-Pillars and door impact beams for side-impact protection and three child-seat anchorage points as standard equipment," said Mr Coverdale.

"With central locking available now as an optional extra, the Daewoo Kalos is even more attractive for the Australian driver looking for a stylish compact new car at an affordable price."

The Kalos hatch and sedan is distributed exclusively by GM Daewoo Australia and is on sale nationally through the independent Daewoo dealer network. GM Daewoo Australia is a member of the General Motors group.
