Honda Australia has posted a new record for November sales totaling 3,097
units.
This result propelled sales for the first eleven months of 2003 to 28,104
units, beating the previous record of 27,294 set in 2000.
Strongest performer was current the prestige segment leader, the Honda
Accord, which also shattered previous records selling 1,329 units in November.
Other strong performers were the popular compact 4WD, the CR-V, and Honda's
innovative light car, the Jazz.
"We are delighted Australian car buyers recognise the quality, prestige,
affordability and the value for money the Honda brand represents," said Honda
Australia Director Lindsay Smalley. "And we are well on track to exceed our
sales target."
Honda's performance in November lifts the company's market share to 3.4 per
cent of the passenger car market.
