Subaru achieved record March sales of 3607 vehicles, up 14.5 per cent over the
same month last year, according to official VFACTS figures released today.
Outback achieved its best-ever monthly total of 829, 111 ahead of its
previous highest total in July 2004.
Forester recorded 1161 sales. Combined Forester and Outback sales maintained
Subaru’s long-held dominance of the SUV Compact category, commanding 28.0 per
cent of the segment for the month.
Impreza and Liberty also performed strongly with 880 and 737 sales
respectively.
Subaru’s overall market share for the year is 4.0 per cent.
Nick Senior, Managing Director, Subaru Australia, said: “March was an
excellent month for Subaru.
“We’re delighted by the positive customer response to a variety of special
editions, including duotone Outback models, which have been warmly received and
we will continue to bring some exciting variety to our range during the year.”
