Chrysler’s boldly styled 300C has been awarded Best Luxury Car for 2006.
The accolade awarded by Delivery Magazine, one of Australia’s leading fleet
car and light commercial vehicle publications, is a welcome addition to the
decorated mantle of the 300C, which is one of the most awarded vehicles in
automotive history.
With the 300,000th 300C having recently rolled off the production line, the
vehicle is also Chrysler’s most successful ever as the quickest model to achieve
the milestone.
Coming hot on the heels of the arrival of the high performance version of the
striking sedan, the Delivery Magazine awards are designed to recognise
outstanding technology and innovation in vehicles with an affordable price.
"Chrysler's 300C offers on-street presence with upper luxury levels of
specification that is unmatched on value," said Chris Mullett, managing editor,
Delivery Magazine.
"Bold styling and an interior that suggests the best of European influence
come in a package of power, performance and exceptional fuel economy for a
vehicle of this size," said Mullet.
Compared to the local large luxury sedans Delivery magazine said the
technology present in the Hemi® engine plus the distinctive styling and high
interior quality presentation set the 300C as a clear winner.
Since its launch late last year, the 300C has been a spectacular success
–with Australian customers taking to the vehicle’s bold performance and
unmistakable styling.
On the back of the 300C’s run-away success, Chrysler year-to-date brand sales
as at May are up 59 per cent over 2005.
The 300C assault is set to continue with wagon (300C Touring) and diesel
versions arriving this month further strengthening the line-up.
