Audi Australia has hit an all-time record, exceeding the magic 1,000 unit
sales mark following the close of January sales. For the first time in the
history of the company, Audi sold 1,025 vehicles in the first month of the New
Year. “After an all-time high in 2007 of 7,225 units, we could not be
more pleased with our fast start to the new year. It makes us very confident
that Audi Australia will continue its achievement of year-on-year double digit
growth in 2008,” said Managing Director, Mr Joerg Hofmann.
“Our January result - an historic number - is a clear demonstration of Audi’s
growing prominence in Australia. We continue to be the fastest growing European
luxury brand.”
“In 2008, we will continue our strong push in the market with network
investment of more than $150 million (from 2008 – 2010), continue our
high-profile brand sailing and cultural activities and introduce key new product
as part of a massive product offensive, including the new A4, RS6 Avant, A3
Cabriolet and TTS Coupe and Roadster models,” Mr Hofmann added.
Both Audi Centre Perth, WA and Audi Centre Doncaster, VIC sold in excess of
100 units each and were the top-selling dealerships in the nation.
The Audi TT, Q7 performance SUV and the A4 were the top-selling models during
January 2008.
