The Revised Kia Credos Now On Sale
8 June, 2000
Family
car ability... Luxury car equipment... Kia value for money
Kia Automotive Australia, the new importer for the
Korean marque, has announced revised specifications and prices for the Kia
Credos, with prices now starting at $23,990 and the family sedan gaining a six
speaker CD player and alloy wheels as standard.
The award winning Kia Credos is Kia's entrant into
the intensely fought family car market and, despite the Credos' many
performance, equipment, styling and trim advantages, Kia have not lost sight of
one very significant issue with all family cars: If the average family cannot
afford it, the car falls at the very first hurdle.
The Credos boasts a high level of equipment, an
excellent chassis for safe and reliable handling, a stylish design that is a
standout in class - where cars are either bland to point of total anonymity or
have confused style with gawkiness - as well as a strong 98 kW engine.
The 2000 Kia Credos opens at a competitive $23,990
for the five speed manual version and $25,990 for the four speed electronically
controlled automatic. Standard equipment includes air conditioning with semi
automatic control, driver's airbag, CD player with six speakers and electric
aerial, alloy wheels, central locking, front and rear electric windows, power
mirrors and front and rear fog lights. Its strong mechanical specification
includes independent suspension and all wheel disc brakes.

The $24,900 automatic Carens is quite brilliant in some areas and competent in all.
