Kia and Sydney's most popular radio station 2DAY
FM, have combined to bring an irreverent attitude and a few surprises to the
Sydney Games. Their adventures have seen a Kia Carnival used to do everything
from gatecrash the top parties to give the world's richest man, Bill Gates, an
early morning wake-up call.
The 2Day FM Morning Crew Ring Leaders, a special
team of unofficial games reporters recruited by the Morning Crew on 2DAY FM -
Wendy Harmer, Peter Moon and Paul Holmes - are using their Kia Carnivals to
reach parts of the world's sporting capital that other radio station can't
reach.
Michael "Ring Master" O'Neil has taken his
Kia Carnival on a series of 'High risk' wake-up calls and interviews of top
visitors including Bill Gates and George Cloony. O'Neil is providing around the
clock news of what is going in Sydney through the games period from his
Carnival.
Rachel "Party Girl" Turner has been putting her
Kia Carnival to the round the clock test of ferrying her from top party to top
party as she gatecrashes the hottest events in Sydney.
Steve "Superfan" Daly, meanwhile has been charged
with attending as many events as possible during the 17 day period of the
games, so his Kia Carnival is filled with "Aussie, Aussie, Aussie - Oy, Oy, Oy"
chants.
The only Ring Leader who isn't seeing much of the
Kia Carnivals is Jeff "Couch Boy" Gibson, who is glued to the TV 24 hours a day
at Planet Hollywood!
