- Chrysler Australia overall sales up 14.3%
- Dodge brand up over 200%
- Lead by Wrangler, Jeep up 9.8%
After achieving its best year ever, it’s no surprise Chrysler Australia
recorded its best January in history. Regardless of a number of run out models,
Chrysler Australia achieved an increase of 14.3% over the same period in
2007.
Helping to achieve this figure has been the recent reintroduction of the
Dodge brand in Australia. With a 25% increase in Caliber sales combined with the
launch of the all-new Dodge Avenger and the all-new Dodge Nitro, the Dodge brand
recorded a 215% increase over January last year.
“We’re looking to continue our strong performance in 2008 across each of the
brands”, said Bradley Fitzsimmons, general manager, national sales.
“The arrival of the all-new Chrysler Grand Voyager, the refreshed 300C and
the much anticipated all-new Jeep Cherokee in the first quarter of 2008 will
certainly be key to building on our already magnificent start to the year”, said
Fitzsimmons”.
