To celebrate their World Rally Championship success, and the dominant Peugeot ‘one-two’ finish in Rally Australia, Peugeot Automobiles Australia have released a special 206 GTi Rallye Edition.

Building on the renowned performance of the 206 GTi ‘hot hatch’, the Rallye Edition comes equipped with a body coloured rear roof spoiler, flared wheel arches, special Rallye floor mats and a sports exhaust with a large diameter chrome tailpipe.

As an added bonus, each car comes with a Sony Playstation2, complete with the new ‘WRC 2’ game and a ‘Logitec’ steering wheel.

The Rallye Edition 206 GTi will leave onlookers with no doubt from where the car has drawn it’s inspiration – the Peugeot 206 World Rally Car, which has won eight of the 13 WRC rounds this season.

Recently at Rally Australia, Marcus Gronholm drove his car home to first place, with team-mate Harri Rovanperra close behind, giving Peugeot first and second places. Although the season is yet to finish, Peugeot has secured it’s third successive Manufacturers title*, and Gronholm his second Driver’s Championship*.

With a 100kW, 16-valve, 2.0 litre engine and rally tuned suspension, the 206 GTi Rallye Edition featuring $2650 of additional features for just an extra $950, is priced at $30,940 plus on road costs.
