Citroën has announced that the first 100 Citroën Xsara Coupe VTRs sold in Australia when the first cars hit the show rooms this week will come with $2000 worth of ABS anti lock brakes with electronic brake force distribution free of charge, making the new Coupe's $23,990 price even more remarkable.

"We took advantage of the Australian dollar's all to brief stay above 55 cents to the US dollar to buy the initial launch stock of the Citroën Xsara Coupe VTR with ABS included in the cost," explains Miles Williams, General Manager for Citroën in Australia. "The inclusion of ABS in the $23,990 price makes the Xsara Coupe even more remarkable value for money. It adds, along with the high equipment level, renown Citroën driving experience and the glamorous style of the Xsara Coupe, even more to the attractiveness of the Xsara Coupe."

The Xsara Coupe VTR is one of a new four car line up for the Xsara that includes two versions of the five door Xsara, at $25,490 for the 1.6 litre version and $31,490 for the new automatic 2.0 litre Xsara five door. The range is topped by the high performance Citroën Xsara Coupe VTS at $32,990. All share high levels of standard equipment and superb levels of handling, road holding and ride comfort endowed by Citroën's unique expertise.
